Within
a matter of months the
National Do Not Call List will become a reality in Canada
What exactly are the specifics of the new legislation?
How it will affect your operations?
What do you need to do to prepare?
Established
by the Canadian Radio Television Telecommunications Commission
(CRTC), the
Do Not Call List will allow consumers who no longer
wish to receive unsolicited calls from telemarketers to add
their phone numbers to a centralized list.
Compliance
will have huge implications for many Canadian companies, whether
organizations operate large contact centres or rely on individual
sales professionals to generate new business.
This new legislation will require that organizations completely
revisit customer data management.
For
this important information session including an overview
of legislation and its impact on Canadian marketers, I have invited:
Charles
Giordano, Associate Director, Privacy Marketing Strategy and
Kimberley Reynolds, Product Manager, Do Not Call of
Bell Canada to share with us their knowledge of the Business
challenges, and some examples of the experience in the
US (where a national list has been in place for 4 years)
and, an overview of resources and services available
from Bell. |
